Lead Paint? Today I had to explain the reason that lead based paint is hazardous and the importance of disclosure to my 13 year old.  Sometimes it is good to explain things in a manner that is understandable by a child. It brings it back to the basics for those of us who deal with it daily.

Trash Left and Personal Stuff  left behind in a foreclosed home? Today I had to go check on a new listing that I have that is owned by Freddie Mac. The neighborhood streets are lined with beautiful, well maintained homes that have manicured lawns and shiny clean cars in the driveway. Then we enter the drive of the asset I am responsible for that has broken brick stairs, stained garage exterior from not maintaining gutters, signs posted in windows, trashed covered deck and basement patio and a yard that was recently mowed that could have been baled had farm equipment been available.  Not typical of the neighborhood. My objective over the next couple of weeks will be to have this home be up to neighborhood standards. First step: Order a roll off dumpster for all the trash left behind.
